Covid Update (as of 14 December 2021)

Well wine lovers, it’s been an interesting few months! I am so happy to welcome you back and take you out to our fabulous Canberra Wine Region again.

At Vines & Wines we have always aimed to keep our tours relaxed and fun while still providing plenty of info about the wines you’re tasting. Our informal style will continue when it comes to wine tasting – we just need to switch gears a little when it comes to COVID and keeping everyone as safe as possible. So here’s our updated regulations which as we know are always subject to change at short notice!

Vaccination

Our staff are all fully vaccinated!

While rules around vaccinations are changing all the time, at Vines & Wines we are asking all our guests to be fully vaccinated before attending one of our tours please. If you are not vaccinated (either by choice or due to a medical exception), you must provide a negative rapid antigen test an hour before departure to show you are free from the virus please. If the test shows up positive, you will not be allowed to join the tour and a full refund will be offered. (It is the responsibility of the customer to purchase and take the test and show evidence to the tour guide).

Please also note that while formal government restrictions have eased in NSW, individual cellar doors can enforce their own rules and some may still choose to check vaccination status.

Facemasks

As of 15 December, facemasks are no longer mandatory at the cellar doors. At Vines & Wines, we are still asking you to wear a mask on the bus please.

QR Codes

We all know the drill with this one by now. We will need to check in using QR codes both on the bus and at the cellar doors. As an extra bit of fun, you will need to have the ACT and the NSW apps as we delve into both states. (This may change as of 15 December – still not 100% clear if cellar doors will need to use them or not)

Cleaning

No cleaning for you – just me! The bus will be wiped down before and after every tour and at various intervals during the day. Hand sanitiser will be available, and we do encourage you use it when returning to the bus after each stop.

Refunds

Full refunds will be given for any COVID related reasons. Testing positive, being identified as a close contact, getting caught in another snap lockdown etc. We ask for as much notice as possible but we want to assure you a refund (or reschedule) is available at anytime. Should you display any of the following symptoms associated with COVID-19 (including fever, chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, fatigue or loss of smell/taste) you will not be allowed to join the tour and a full refund will be issued.

Tour Cancellation by Vines & Wines

In the event that I (Vines & Wines) am deemed a close contact or positive case, I will do my best to provide a replacement driver and tour guide. However, as a sole operator, this may not always be possible and your tour may be postponed or cancelled at short notice. We hope to avoid this scenario and do have back up plans but please be gentle if we are caught out in the unfortunate situation of a cancellation.
