canberra wine tours
We are a husband and wife team who love wine and have spent the last few years learning as much as we can about this fabulous product. We moved back to Canberra in 2013 after living in London for several years. During our time abroad, we visited many of Europe’s wine regions including Tuscany, Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Loire Valley, Champagne, Rioja – just to name a few! But our experience goes beyond tasting as we briefly returned home to work in the laboratory for the 2009 vintage at Casella’s Wines in Griffith NSW. During this time, we learnt much about the wine making process from collecting and testing juice samples to monitoring tank temperatures at the ungodly hour of 3am to conducting final tests on the finished product. Elouise grew up on a vineyard in Griffith where her father continues to grow grapes today so wine has been in her blood for a long time. Scott was a late bloomer to wine drinking but hasn’t hesitated in  making up for lost time. He is now taking his love of wine one step further as in 2022 he enrolled in a Bachelor of Wine Science at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. Our Canberra wine tours will now be even more informative and backed by science – as well as fun!

Living in London, we were surprised that wine drinking was seen as an elite activity, reserved more for the upper classes. We believe that wine is for everyone and that tasting is a skill that can be easily learnt – after all, there are no right or wrong answers, you can taste what you taste and like what you like but wouldn’t it be nice to know why your wine tastes like chocolate, or smells like petrol? We can teach you to enhance your appreciation of wine by learning a little about how it’s made and where it comes from – at the very least you’ll sound pretty impressive at your next dinner party!

The number one aim of our wine tours is to make sure you have fun and drink some fabulous Canberra wines. Check out our range of tours – Weekend Tours or book Monday-Friday
